Welcome to Australia!

Flying in and staying in Coogee beach

sunny 21 °C

Hey guys

This is gonna have to be quick cuz i'm not sure how much time I have left before my computer pass expires. But anyway! no photos yet cuz I dont know where I can go to put em on the computer.

Anyway!

Flying in was amazing. My Air canada flight down to LA was cool. Sat beside a guy named Dave from Brizbaine and he told me all about some of the best places on the east coast to visit...in exchange for my playing with Sierra, his 2 yr old. She was adorable, if a little hyper.

Landed in LA, and called my mom cuz I knew she'd want to talk. ... and yeah, she did. Unfortunately, my phone ran out of minutes while I was talking to her, so she just got cut off. Well then I had to boot it to the other terminal to check in, and find a phone so I could let her know nothing bad happened! I was worried about missing my flight, but it turns out we were delayed by about hrs anyway. At least it was ice in the airport, if hot.

flying Qantas to Sydney was great :) they have this interactive media thing for passangers of all levels (yay I'm not that much of a subclass person) where you get a list of movies / tv/ cds / radio / games etc and you can chose to watch what ever you want, when ever. I watched umm Persuit of Happiness, Night at the museum, Pan's Labrynth, Babel, Deja vu though I slept through it, gladiator, and I'm sure there were a few others too. My plane mates were nice, if boring.

So I arrived in Sydney, and you get herded like cattle through the gates toward customs (I didnt bother with Duty free) and everyone who is not Australian or from New Zealand gets to go into the same line. I think 5 planes were arriving in the terminal at the same time I was. So Customs was packed! luckily I got there early enough that it only took me about a half an hour to get through. Finally found my ride, and took the bus to the hostel with Emma and Sam who are also on my group.

After I got over the sight of the ocean literally outside my balcony, the first thing I didnt when I got here was head for the showers, and promptly lost an earring >.< what a pain!

Got checked in, claimed a bed by the window, and then went and browsed the shops around. The selection of food and cafes here is amazing! Thai is popular, as is Indian, so thats cool. and there is a restaraunt downstairs called "Five-O's" where they have a $5 menu. its pretty good.

eep! ok my countdown is almot up. I'll describe the harbour and stuff when I get the pictures up.

Ciao!
